The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of ships and airplanes have allegedly disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The story of the Bermuda Triangle has been popularized by various books, movies, and TV shows, which have created a sense of mystique and intrigue around the region. This has led to the creation of a brand around the Bermuda Triangle, with many people associating the area with unexplained disappearances and paranormal activity.

What if I told you the stories you have been hearing about Bermuda triangle are not true?

Yes! before going deep into the story, Brand Storytelling is a concept where you have a message to address consumers in a brilliant way that they will get drawn to believe it. The story can be used to communicate the brand’s values, history, or mission, and create an emotional connection with the audience.

The main aim of brand storytelling is to create a memorable and engaging story that resonates with the target audience and helps to differentiate the brand from its competitors. It can be used in various forms of marketing and advertising, such as social media, video content, and events.

For instance, let’s say Apple’s “Think Different” campaign, which communicated the company’s values of innovation and creativity through story telling, and Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke” campaign, which encouraged people to connect with each other over a shared experience of enjoying a Coke.

Let’s get into the story!

We’ve heard several stories about the Bermuda Triangle; one says there are crystal stones beneath the ocean, another says ghost ships, and you won’t believe it one said Geomagnetism, REALLY?? What if I told you it’s just the art of telling stories?

Yes! IT’S just a speculation. IT’S just words. IT’S Storytelling.

The actual story lies in the disappearances of ships in the world. According to the data collected by the source (Johnny Harris), it shows that Bermuda triangle is not even listed in the top 10 most dangerous regions from maritime losses. Moreover, out of 8634 boats that passed through Bermuda triangle, 0.02% of the boats that passed through had an accidents which is 90 times lower than the global average.

Humans believe in what they listen but instead of relying on our own observations. That is the power of storytelling. It makes you remember information better than just facts or statistics alone.

In our business context, storytelling is very important as they play very crucial role creating emotional connection between consumers and brands. Moreover, it differentiate themselves from competitors, and be more memorable. Finally, it also helps in creating a brand identity and building trust with the consumers.
